    THÉODORE MELCHIOR

    portrait_Theodore_Melchoir_juillet_2024_photo_Jesse_Wallace

Nourished by modernity and the gothic, by A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, and the tragedies of William Shakespeare, Théodore Melchior dedicates himself to creating the surreal artifacts of a polychrome society. Théodore’s plastic and narrative quest—sculpture, image, text—pursues the turmoils of the contemporary world with the same momentum of humor and romanticism, oscillating between splendors and catastrophes.

Théodore Melchior, born in 1990, lives and works in Paris. He graduated from ESAD in Reims in 2017 and was a member of the collective Chevaline Corporation from 2014 to 2020.
